High Tech High North County (HTHNC) is committed to educating, guiding, and supporting students and their families throughout the college and career search and application process. Our mission is to empower students to make informed decisions grounded in their values, interests, and talents, ensuring they discover postsecondary pathways where they can thrive. By fostering exploration, self-discovery, and personal growth, we prepare students to take their next steps with confidence. In collaboration with faculty, advisors, and coaches, we provide the tools and resources necessary for students to navigate their individual journeys with clarity and purpose.
At HTHNC, we are dedicated to helping students make informed and thoughtful decisions about their futures. Through a student-centered approach, we create a supportive environment that adapts to each student’s unique strengths and developmental needs.
Our counseling program is led by the Director of College Advising and supported by the College & Career Access Team (CCAT). Together, we provide a comprehensive guidance program that includes one-on-one meetings with students and families, engaging workshops, college fairs, essay support, and visits from numerous college admissions representatives each year. All grade levels also benefit from a post secondary support class designed to deepen their understanding of the college application process.
At the core of our work, the CCAT guides students through the R.A.C.E. toward postsecondary opportunities: Research colleges and careers, Apply to the right opportunities, Choose their best-fit option, and Ease into their next chapter after high school.
We are committed to fostering a healthy, balanced, and enriching college search experience. Our goal is to equip every student with the confidence, knowledge, and skills they need to transition successfully, whether to higher education or another meaningful pathway beyond HTHNC.
