College Application Support (Virtual) - October 15, 2025 @ 6 PM- This one-hour webinar will help 12th graders and their families understand how to apply to UC and CSU campuses. Find out what items will be required for the applications and what admissions officers are looking for.
Cash for College Event - October 18, 2025 @ 9AM, Oceanside High School - High school students (12th grade) and families can register here to attend this FREE Cash for College event for individual help completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act (CADAA) and/or Chafee Grant for Foster Youth applications. Arrive any time 9am-11:30am.
Cash for College Event (Virtual) - October 29, 2025 @ 5 PM - High school students (12th grade) and families can attend FREE Cash for College workshops for help completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act (CADAA) and Chafee Grant for Foster Youth applications. Once you join, you'll be placed in a Breakout Room for one-on-one help. Join any time 5pm-6:45pm.

All About Scholarships (Virtual) - December 10, 2025 @ 6 PM - This one-hour webinar will help 12th graders and their families understand where to find scholarships, how to apply, and what scholarship committees are looking for. We will highlight the San Diego Foundation Common Scholarship for local students.
Community College Admissions (Virtual) - January 21, 2026 @ 6 PM - This one-hour webinar will familiarize students and families with the community college system, what programs and degrees are available, how to apply, and how to get the Promise to pay for two years of full-time tuition.
Cash for College (Virtual) - January 28, 2026 @ 5 PM - Get one-on-one help with financial aid forms like FAFSA or CADAA. Suited for 12th graders and/or their families.
Understanding Financial Aid Packages (Virtual) - February 4, 2026 @ 6 PM - This one-hour webinar will familiarize 12th grade students and families with the financial aid package/statement that they would receive from a college. Learn financial aid terminology and find out how to analyze the financial aid statement to decide which college will be most affordable.
Future Fest College and Career Fair (In Person) - February 28, 2026 @ 9 AM - Grossmont Union High School District will be hosting the annual Future Fest Career & College Fair, in collaboration with the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District and Cal-SOAP. Students and parents can chat with admissions representatives from more than 70 public and private universities, community colleges, vocational schools, military branches, and comunity employers. The event is free and includes a variety of workshops including information on four-year universities, two-year colleges, assistance with college applications, financial aid, NCAA, SAT/ACT tests, and more! All high school and middle school students and their parents are invited to attend! Parking is free.
You've been accepted! Now what? (Virtual) - March 11, 2026 @ 6 PM - This one-hour webinar will help 12th graders and their families navigate college admissions decisions and ultimately decide where to attend and what the next steps are.
How to Accept your Financial Aid (Virtual) - April 15, 2026 @ 6 PM - This one-hour webinar will help 12th graders and their families navigate the process of accepting their financial aid once they decide where to attend college. We will cover college financing plans and how to create a WebGrants for Students account.
Financial Aid for 11th Grade (Virtual) - May 13, 2026 @ 6 PM - This one-hour webinar will help 11th graders and their families understand how to get ready for senior year, including FAFSA and CA Dream Act, FSA IDs, scholarships, and the senior year timeline for college applications.
